A role of aspartic acid in purine biosynthesis.

چکیده
The incorporation of isotopic nitrogen from N15-aspartic acid, N15-glutamic acid, or N15(amide nitrogen)-glutamine into the nitrogens of the pyrimidine ring of hypoxanthine synthesized from glycine-l-Cl4 in pigeon liver extracts has been reported to be approximately equivalent to the incorporation of Cl4 from labeled glycine (1). It was proposed that biological similarity of the transaminating dicarboxylic acids favors the probability that these amino acids supplied the same nitrogen atom while the amide group of glutamine donated the other nitrogen atom of the pyrimidine ring of hypoxanthine (1). In the present investigation, aspartic acid or a biochemically related 4-carbon compound has been found to be essential for purine biosynthesis in Lactobacillus arabinosus 17-5. The interrelationship is based upon the effect of purines on the aspartic acid requirement for growth and on cysteic acid inhibition of growth.

Biosynthesis of formycin. Role of certain amino acids in formycin biosynthesis.
Working with Streptomyces sp. MA406-A-1, effects of addition of various amino acids on the production of formycin were examined. In replacement culture, it was confirmed that lysine, aspartate or glutamate stimulates the production of formycin and carbon molecules in these amino acids incorporated efficiently into formycin. It is estimated that biosynthesis of formycin in this organism is close...

Synthesis and characterization of two functionalized gold nanoparticles by using of two poly functional amino acids (L-Arginine and L-Aspartic acid) are reported. The gold nanoparticles were reduced by sodium citrate and functionalized with L-Arginine at the pH of 7 and 11 and L-Aspartic acid at the pH of 7. Transmission electron microscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, zeta p...

The dependence on ionic strength of protonation of L-aspartic acid and its complexation withdioxouranium(VI) is reported in sodium perchlorate solution as a background salt. The measurementshave been performed at 25 ± 0.1 °C and various ionic strengths in the range 0.1 to 1.0 mol dm-3, using acombination of potentiometric and spectrophotometric techniques. The overall analysis of the present an...

Equilibria of the reaction of molybdenum(VI) with L-aspartic acid (Asp) and L- Glutamic acid(Glu) have been studied by spectrophotometric measurements in mixed solvent systems at an ionicstrength of 0.2 mol/dm3 sodium perchlorate, employed (15, 20, 25, 30± 0.1°C) at pH ranges of 3.2to 5.5 with a high ratio of ligand to metal. The stability constants of the complexes and theresulting free energy...
